SONIC BOOM is KISS' first new album in 11 years. The eleven-track CD is part of a three-disc set that also features a completely re-recorded greatest hits CD and a live DVD shot in Argentina during the band's recent, record-breaking KISS ALIVE 35 South American tour. The greatest hits CD will include tracks made famous on the KISS ALIVE! album such as "Rock and Roll All Nite," "Deuce," "Black Diamond," and "Hotter Than Hell."

Guitar Hero: Van Halen

Activision today announced its scheduled music game releases for the rest of 2009. Due in the second half of 2009 is Guitar Hero Van Halen. And coming this fall are Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero and Band Hero.
Guitar Hero: Van Halen will include some of Van Halen’s greatest hits - no word on whether that includes the Sammy Hagar-fronted version - as well as tunes from guest acts such as Queen, Weezer, Blink-182, The Offspring and Queens Of The Stone Age.
Slash shows heart

Slash has personally sent a signed Gibson guitar to Flowerdale teen Gavin Duggin.
Duggin lost eight guitars in the Black Saturday fires, including an identical Gibson he had signed by Slash during the last Velvet Revolver tour to Australia.
The Herald Sun alerted Slash to Duggin's loss and the star was quick to send an Epiphone Les Paul guitar from his signature range direct to Melbourne.

Mötley Crüe announced today they will perform the entire album, Dr. Feelgood, from beginning to end at every performance on their Summer festival tour, Crüe Fest 2 in addition to their hits. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Dr. Feelgood, which became the Crüe’s first #1 album on the Billboard charts.
